statement
The artwork begins outside…
My creative process starts with quiet observation of my surroundings—fallen leaves, feathers, flowers, and decaying branches. These elements, often dismissed as unimportant or lifeless, serve as gentle reminders of nature’s resilience and constant transformation.
I collect these organic fragments and embed them into my artworks, layering them beneath raw, eco-conscious materials such as charcoal, clay, natural pigments, and sustainable paints. Though hidden from plain view, they remain the essence of each piece—granted a second life through art.
Each work is a quiet tribute to our deep connection with the natural world. It invites us to slow down, look more closely, and reflect on how we engage with our environment. My art practice is an invitation to explore more mindful, sustainable ways of creating.
